‘Imaginarium and Other Stories’ art exhibition by Julia Duerden
‘Imaginarium and Other Stories’ is an art exhibition by Julia Duerden, which will run between 1 September and 14 September 2021 at Chester Art Centre.
Originally from Barrowford, Lancashire, a small village near Pendle Hill and home of the Lancashire witches, Julia has lived on the Wirral for over 40 years. She has been painting for as long as she can remember, developing her original approach using watercolour and inks. Her eclectic style forms a mix of contemporary and traditional work.
‘Watercolour lends itself to a variety of subjects – abstract, imaginary compositions, local scenes around Chester and the Wirral, townscapes and landscapes from many parts of the country’.
Colour, tone and form are paramount, the watercolour creating its own pathway on the paper… This painting style is very much Julia’s own and has proved popular in solo exhibitions and numerous galleries.
We are looking forward to seeing you for the private view on the 2nd of September at 6 PM!
